How old are you really? Saman is 32 and I still consider Ace of Bass to be her generation's music. Do you listen to Depeche Mode too? Wham!? Cindy Lauper perhaps? Join us in the 21st century, we have saved a seat for you.
SOMEONE has an At ti tude. Just like you, anonymous. From the spelling mistake (“dissapeared” should be disappeared) I can surmise that either “anonymous” is a terrible speller (I admit I am one myself); or they are just not so familiar with the English language –OR, English is not their first language. And because “anonymous” made a reference to me (“JUST LIKE YOU”) I can also infer that this individual knows me. Writing that part of the sentence in all caps must mean “anonymous” holds a certain grudge against me, or perhaps they have issues with me, they might be emotionally unstable at the moment and decided posting this on my ‘blog’ was an appropriate way of letting out some steam. In any case, from all of these ‘clues’ I have been able to guess who “anonymous” might actually be. I have a few people in mind. The first one’s first name starts with a Y, the second with an S, the third with an M. Oh I’m good. Am I? –I am. Really?
occasionally ppl just need to isolate and contemplate, reflect and redirect, now and again the small diversions on the greater path get the best of us. s
Mo those who live underground live in darkness. You are like a fish. Honestly. Enough with the 'poetry talk' ...whenever people engage in depth don’t sheath your misunderstanding or incomprehension with this garment of mindless two-worded nonsense. Please. (But thank you for visiting my Blog and caring enough to leave a comment) And to "anonymous" – what the hell in the context of frustration for having only one letter of the entire alphabet represent the name behind the wisdom.... or seemingly wise words. Actually there is a lot churning in my head... but there are certain elements of my life that require my absolute attention before I can tend to this stupid blog that I –with my own hands- created. But small diversions never get the best of us. How wrong you are. How very wrong. What the hell in the context of I wish you spelt “ppl” “people” -I hate abbreviations. They are indolent.
indolent....how excellent a choice of word to use. i was quite amused after looking it up. how simple actions can betray so much. how one word can describe so much as for the "seemingly wise words", they are only as wise as their reader...mo eloquently exemplified this. and to be honest my words were no wiser than a well written horoscope. it was meant to evoke a response...what i said is not important...your reply is what i was seeking. i wonder what diversions you have indulged in to state your disagreement with such conviction.... s
depends what you want to be attached/detached from. i have come to the sad conclusion thateverything in life is relative.....actually im still contemplating this. i have this uneasy feeling that this idea is direct result of the cognitive dissonance that has been plaguing me.... everything in life is relative...... comments?
How strange.... I had never heard of Sacred Sacred before anonymous mentioned it. Today, I checked my inbox for messages and I received a mass message from the Political Science Department which stated the following:
SCARED SACRED, by B.C. native and Concordia alumni Velcrow Ripper, will be shown the following Friday, Nov. 18 (H-110, 7:30pm, 4$). Throughout a five-year pilgrimage, Velcrow Ripper visits the world's "ground zeros": the toxic wasteland of Bhopal, the minefields of Cambodia, post 9/11 New York, Hiroshima, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. The film documents Ripper's spiritual odyssey as he meets men and women able to transform the "scared" into the "sacred." As stunning images form the backdrop to haunting memories, the film portrays the search for meaning in times of turmoil and succeeds in creating a space of peace and hope in the midst of chaos. (SCARED SACRED is co-presented by Amnesty International Concordia)
Both Velcrow Ripper and Elle Flanders will be present at their respective screenings and are also available for pre- and post-screening interviews (with advance notice).

detachment = bad-er
attachment = good-er
depends what you want to be attached/detached from.
